Who doesn’t love a great combo?! You know what I am talking about: salt and pepper, pie and ice cream, Batman and Robin, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, etc. It’s just wonderful when two things go together and complement each other in the perfect way. That is how I feel about the marriage of grey and beige paint colors known as greige. Greige paint colors are not only beautiful but also practical in the best way. My favorite feature of this particular colorway is that these paints look equally good with both warm and cool furniture and accessories. I have a warm caramel leather couch and a cool blue chair and my greige paint complement both. It also is flattering next to my warm beige carpet. I can’t help but rave about the benefits of greige paint, it is just so effortlessly lovely. I want to highlight three of my favorite greige paints that may help you if you are considering updating the paint in your home.

PALE OAK by Benjamin Moore

This is hands down my favorite, which is why I chose it for my home. It is light and bright, without the starkness some whites can have when used from floor to ceiling. I used this color throughout my main floor and have included a picture of my kitchen nook and bedroom so you can see how it looks in two different spaces with different flooring and lighting.

EDGECOMB GRAY by Benjamin Moore

I am literally obsessed with the picture I included that features Edgecomb Gray. In this bedroom, this stunning greige was used on the doors and ceiling, which is so unexpected and warms up the mostly white room in the perfect way. This color is more pigmented than Pale Oak but is still bright and airy. You cannot go wrong with this color.

MINDFUL GRAY by Sherwin Williams

This is definitely the most pigmented of the three paints I am featuring today, and I am posting it for all you ladies (and gents!) that crave more contrast. Mindful Gray in this stairwell was an excellent choice because it truly makes the white wainscoting pop. Side note: Wouldn’t it be lovely to have that view out your window every time you went up or down the stairs?! I also used Mindful Gray on the shaker shingle siding on my house. It looks great year-round in all the different lighting. This paint is a total winner in my book.

There you have it, my top three greige paints. Happy painting!
